Boss Award 2022 Nomination for Teksto Announcement

Teksto range shortlisted at the upcoming BOSS Awards

ExaClair Limited, the UK subsidiary of the Exacompta-Clairefontaine group, are delighted to reveal that they have been shortlisted as finalists at the 2022 BOSS Federation Industry Awards, which are scheduled to be held on the 24th November at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, Manchester.

The range of premium Exacompta Teksto stationery products has been nominated for the ‘New Product of The Year’ award, which is designed to acknowledge innovative products that have been launched during the past 12 months.

The majority of Teksto products are plastic free, yet have the same durability and resistance as polypropylene items.  This is thanks to an innovative coating developed by Exacompta that uses vegetal materials, such as natural plant oils, which also enables the products to be recycled and turned into something else.

The range is also a great example of optimising resources.  Up to 25% of the Teksto filing products are made from production offcuts that have been reintegrated into the manufacturing process of new card, reducing overall waste.  In addition, production from raw material to finished goods is done locally in the Exacompta Clairefontaine Group’s French based sites, so therefore reducing the carbon footprint of these products.

Items in the range are FSC® or PEFC™ certified, confirming that the materials used are from sustainably managed forests.

Products in this new selection include elasticated 3 flap folders, filing boxes, lever arch files, ring binders, letter trays and the first ever display book with a card cover, all of which are available in a range of four contemporary colours – purple, grey, water green and turquoise.

The range also includes revolutionary felt textile desk mats and pencil cases made from rPET (recycled plastic water bottles).  As well as being fully lined with recycled polyester to resist ink stains and dirt, another unique feature of the Global Recycle Standard (GRS) certified pencil case is that it can easily be transformed into a pen pot to be used on a desktop or zipped up for carrying.

Lawrence Savage, Marketing Manager at ExaClair, explains “The trend for ecologically aware products is increasing in pace, particularly through the younger generations, who are known to be extremely conscious of environmental issues.  This consumer demand is driving manufacturing innovations and the Teksto range illustrates the continued commitment that the Exacompta Clairefontaine Group has to developing sustainable products.”

With relation to the nomination, Lawrence comments; “We are over the moon to have been shortlisted for this award.  It highlights how Exacompta are committed to helping reduce the effects on the Earth’s climate by producing more ecologically aware products that can become part of a circular economy and we’ve been excited to have launched such an innovative product range.”
