The Exacompta Clairefontaine Manufacturing Group

ExaClair is a subsidiary of the Exacompta Clairefontaine manufacturing group.

The group’s products are manufactured and distributed from nearly every corner of the globe – from Paris to Milan, Tokyo to New York. Over a number of generations, the notebooks and account books, alongside correspondence, filing and fine art products made in Exacompta Clairefontaine‘s factories have become the preferred brands for students, business professionals and the home office.

Centuries of Experience

We have centuries of experience in our sectors. Our earliest brand Herbin dates back to 1670, and Clairefontaine have produced what is renowned to be “the world’s best paper” for 160 years. We use this heritage and expertise to develop new products and ranges, designed especially for the modern era. Innovation has led to the creation of online products through mobile applications too, such as Lalalab and Piiics, targeting a whole new audience.

Producer & Processor

Exacompta Clairefontaine is the only group in Western Europe to be both a producer and processor of papers. This allows it to control all stages of manufacture and to offer items of constant high quality whilst being sustainable.
