ExaClair Limited, the UK subsidiary of the Exacompta Clairefontaine group, is delighted to announce that Exacompta have been nominated within three categories at the upcoming 2023 European Office Product Awards (EOPA), which is now in its 22nd year!
Firstly, the collection of Maïa stationery products has been nominated for the ‘Business Product of the Year’ award, which highlights new innovative items designed for the modern workplace or home office environments. In addition, Exacompta have been shortlisted within both the ‘Vendor of the Year’ and ‘Vendor Sustainability Excellence’ categories.
With sustainability becoming an increasing priority for customers globally, the Maïa filing and organisational accessories were created to satisfy this growing demand. The range takes used plastic items such as punnets, bottles and yoghurt pots, which are then ground into flakes before being transformed into granules. Tinted and embossed polypropylene sheets are then extruded from these granules and used to produce Maїa filing products, with their distinctive pearled honeycomb patterned effects. Items within the Maїa range are Blue Angel certified, recognising the fact they are made from 100% post-consumer plastic waste. An innovative multi-compartment pencil case, made from recycled plastic bottles (rPET), is also available within the collection.
Lawrence Savage, UK Marketing Manager for the group, was overjoyed with the nominations: “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for these awards. It highlights the technological creativity involved within the design and manufacturing processes of this range. Exacompta are dedicated to helping reduce the effects on the Earth’s climate and the trend for environmentally sustainable products is only going to increase in pace as members of Generation Z, who are known to be highly engaged with environmental issues, increase their spending power in the marketplace.”
Commenting on Exacompta making the shortlist for the ‘Vendor of the Year’ award, he stated: ‘We are honoured to have been nominated within this category for a second consecutive year. Since winning the award in 2022 the business has continued to invest heavily in our customer relationship management and data analysis service capabilities, which has enabled us to further expand upon several growing sales channels, including the development of new dropshipment initiatives.”
With reference to the ‘Vendor Sustainability Excellence’ nomination, Lawrence added, “The protection of the environment continues to be an integral part of Exacompta’s corporate strategy and following our recent bronze award from EcoVardis, we are extremely delighted to have received a nomination within this category.”
All the winners will be announced at the EOPA Awards, which is being held at the hotel Okura in Amsterdam on 13th March.
