The Exacompta Clairefontaine group is thrilled to reveal that they have been named as winners across two categories in the 2023 Stationery Matters Awards, which were held during the recent London Stationery Show at the Business Design Centre in Islington.
The new Clairefontaine Inkebana collection of notebooks was triumphant within the Licenced Stationery Product of the Year category. Created by designer Sophie Griotto, this collection combines the concepts of Ikebana, which is the traditional Japanese art of arranging floral compositions with the artistic flair discovered through ink. In this collection Sophie brings flowers to life using shades of blue ink, with many of the items featuring integrated yellow highlights as a contrast to the blues used within the designs.
These notebooks contain the PEFC™ certified 90gsm brushed vellum Clairefontaine paper that is loved by pen fans globally. However, the collection is further extended with a range of premium desktop accessories, such as pen pots, desk mats and letter holders, as well as a selection of artist notebooks and a calligraphy set for the more creative user.
Inspired by the Scandinavian ‘Hygge’ trend, Exacompta’s Aquarel STORE BOX MULTI drawer set was also announced as Filing & Storage Product of the Year. Featuring pastel colours that encourage imagination, calmness and wellbeing by creating a cocooning atmosphere, this innovative desktop system has eleven drawers of different sizes, which can be repositioned within the unit to suit the user’s personal organisational needs. The products environmental credentials are assured as it holds the independently verified Blue Angel certification, having been made from post-consumer recycled plastics.
Lawrence Savage, Marketing Manager for ExaClair Limited, which is the UK subsidiary of the group, was jubilant following the awards ceremony: “With several popular brands being nominated from across the industry, we are over the moon to have been proclaimed winners within these two hotly contested categories. This achievement highlights the groups creative approach to product development, which enables us to offer sustainable items that continue to surpass the needs of the consumer”.
