Raising money for cancer research.

ExaClair’s Head of Retail Sales Garry Wright, Managing Director Mark Daisley and his partner Gwyneth Thorneywork will be travelling to Cumbria next month; joining other members of the office product sector for a gruelling challenge. In 2019, the Climb of Life covered over 2.7 million steps on the highest fells of the wintery Lakeland mountain range!
The Institute for Cancer Research (The ICR) has one vision: a world where people can live their lives free of cancer as a life-threatening disease. They undertake world-class research designed to improve outcomes for people with cancer, making discoveries that help create better drugs to help defeat cancer.
To help the ICR continue their work, our budding walkers will be trekking up the Cumbrian peaks in cold and tough conditions, a strenuous and unenviable task for even the fittest adventurer. The trek takes place on 5th November, in what will be the event’s 33nd year. Their aim is to try and beat last year’s record of £104,000 which was raised thanks to the support of many generous sponsors.
Garry Wright comments “Through The Climb of Life we aim to help crucial funds for The Institute of Cancer Research, coming together with the rest of the industry each year with one common goal. Having met some of those who work at The ICR, it’s clear that every pound we raise is going to a great cause, which will make a huge difference to people’s lives”.
